Blizzard > or < Hurricane?

Blizzards are severe snowstorms characterized by high winds and heavy snow for a prolonged period of time. To technically be a blizzard the winds must exceed 35 mph with blowing snow that reduces visibility to 1/4 mile.


Hurricanes are severe thunderstorms consisting of strong winds and heavy rain. A hurricane has sustained winds exceeding 74 mph and the average size spans over 800 miles.

    blizzards are cooler, but hurricanes def cause more damage. gotta go with hurricanes

    True. And blizzards don't typically cause mass mandatory evacuations.
