Jeopardy!: an A.I. was developed by IBM specifically to answer the type of questions posed by Jeopardy!. All winnings from the computer, named Watson, have been donated to charity.


Wheel of Fortune: First aired Jan. 6, 1975. In Feb. 1997, the letters on the puzzle board switched from being turned manually to Sony touch screen monitors. There are 52 monitors on the puzzle board in all.

Crazy 8's dates back to the 1940s and was derived from the military designation for discharge of mentally unstable soldiers, Section 8.

Playstation 3 > or < Xbox 360?

Playstation 3: sold over 1 million in it's three weeks of sales and almost 50 million world wide since 11/11/2006. PS3 was the first video game console to have a blue-ray player built in.


Xbox 360: over 50 million xbox's worldwide since it came out in 11/22/2005. Best known for Halo, there have been over 8.1 million copies of Halo:3 sold alone.

Abacus: First appearing as we know it today about 1200 A.D. in China, it evolved from a simple counting board. The oldest surviving counting board dates back to 300 B.C. and was used by the Babylonians.


Calculator: The first electronic calculator dates back to the 1960s and was first developed by Texas Instruments. However, Blaise Pascal invented the first mechanical (that was non-electronic) calculator in 1642.

Mustard is a condiment made using mustard seeds. It has a sharp pungent flavor, goes well with sandwiches, and is often mixed into other dressings.


Ketchup is a tomato based sweet and sour condiment. It goes well with fries, burgers, and other grilled foods.

French is also a romance language. Although not as widespread in use in the Americas, it is common in Europe and Asia. French is distinguished by it's nasally sounds.

Curly Fries are spring-shaped potato fries. They usually have more seasonings giving them a distinct flavor and color compared with other fries.


Waffle Fries are thick potato chips with a grid pattern. They are typically deep fried taste the same as French fries.

Hot Fudge is a delicious, thick chocolate-flavored syrup often used for topping ice cream, particularly sundaes and parfaits.


Caramel is a confection made by heating various types of sugars. It is used as a flavoring in many desserts, including caramel apples, and a topping for ice cream and custard, particularly for sundaes.

Lucky the Leprechaun always has someone after he Lucky Charms. Luckily, he isn't so greedy that he won't share a bit of the rainbow in the form of cereal.


Notre Dame Leprechaun represents the fighting Irish of Notre Dame. He always has his fists up and ready and supposedly brings some magical powers and good luck to the Notre Dame sports teams.

Chocolate > or < Vanilla?

Chocolate comes from the cacao tree and has been cultivated for thousands of years in Mexico, Central, and South America. Chocolate has actually been shown to lower blood pressure when eaten in moderation.


Vanilla comes from a Vanilla Orchid which originates in Mexico. It wasn't until the 1840s that Vanilla could be commercially produced. Besides it's taste, vanilla is also commonly used in aromatherapy.

Flight has clear advantages for transportation. A person who could fly could get places much more quickly and with less hassle. Not only would there be no limitations as to where a person could travel, the feeling of flying would be well worth it.


Invisibility would have many perks anything from hiding to thieving. A person could use this power for safety whenever in trouble, hiding in plain sight. Hide and seek would not be a fair game.

KITT is the car in the show Knight Rider. The KITT is not only equipped with an insane amount of features and gadgets, it is a self-aware super computer. Nice to have a companion on the drive, right?


The Batmobile is the vehicle that transports Batman on his all-important Gotham saving missions. This ride has every gadget known and unknown to man available and is kept safe in Batman's secret cave.

Basketball > or < Baseball?

Basketball is a long-time American favorite sport with origins dating back to 1891. It's widely popular as many children grow up playing it in their neighborhood parks. Perhaps the most exciting to watch is professional athletes dunking.


Baseball has been dubbed "America's Game" and dates back even further than basketball to the 1830s. Although there may be some lulls in the game, there's nothing like a good old home run.

Badgers are the mascot of UW-Madison. The main man representing the Badgers is Bucky the Badger. He likes to do push-ups when the team scores because he's ripped. A typical badger's diet consists of grubs, earthworms, and beer.


Gophers are the mascot to the University of Minnesota. Goldie the Golden Gopher runs the show. He recently won the 2011 UCA Mascot National Championships. A wild gopher's diet consists of shrubs and other vegetation.

Hamburgers are patties of meat, typically beef, that are cooked on a hot grill. They are sometimes flavored with seasonings and go well with cheese.


Brats are sausages consisting of veal, pork, and/or beef. They are also most often cooked on a grill. There are many variations, and they originate in Germany.

Gene Wilder played Willy Wonka in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. He was eccentric and made it difficult to tell whether or not he was lying or telling the truth.


Johnny Depp played Willy Wonka in the more recent Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Although he retained some of the same fashion as the original Willy Wonka character, he portrayed the character as even more odd and slightly less charismatic.

Kool-Aid is a flavored drink mix that comes in many flavors and colors. Kool-Aid is represented by the "Kool-Aid Man" which is a giant talking pitcher of Kool-Aid.


Capri Sun is a juice concentrate that most commonly comes in a pouch. Although the drink comes in many flavors, it's most always colorless.

Triceratops were a dinosaur with three horns protruding from their head. Although herbivores, they were thought to be fearsome in battle and were built to inflict massive damage with their head.


Tyrannosaurus, meaning "tyrant lizard" is a name well given to the beast that walked the land over 65 million years ago. They were bipedal carnivores with massive heads and teeth to match.

Apples are fruits that grow on a species of trees in the rose family and come in many different variations. Apples also have many health benefits, thus the saying "an apple a day keeps the doctor away."


Oranges are citrus fruits and are the most common tree fruit in the world. Oranges also have a high nutritional value including a large concentration of Vitamin C.

Survivorman is a television show starring survival expert Les Stroud. He puts himself in possible survival situations and shows the correct techniques to stay alive. He videotapes the whole thing himself.


Man vs Wild stars Bear Grylls as he tries to make is way to civilization and be saved from potentially fatal situations in the wilderness. Bear uses a crew for camera work and support.

Happy Gilmore is an Adam Sandler movie about a hockey player with an attitude who takes up golfing to save his grandmother's house.

Billy Madison is another Adam Sandler comedy. In this case he is an immature, lazy man who mooches off his father. However, he goes back to school to repeat grades 1-12 to save his father's hotel empire.
