Helicopters > or < Submarines?

Helicopters: Although Leonardo da Vinci had made sketches of a possible helicopter in the 1480s, it wasn't until 1907 that someone actually took flight in one.


Submarines: The first submarine was constructed in 1620. The first time one was used in combat was 1776; it was a one-man wooden vessel.
