Coke > or < Pepsi?

The weekend's Inequality here!

Last week's results here!

Coke, introduced in 1886, is now sold in more than 200 countries. It originated as a medicine that was supposed to cure morphine addiction, headache and impotence. When first introduced, Coke contained nine milligrams of cocaine per glass, but it was removed in 1903. The ubiquitous logo has changed little since introduction, and the classic Coke bottles and adorable polar bear commercials are just as memorable. Coke is available in a number of flavors and varieties, and outsells Pepsi in most markets.

Pepsi, invented in 1893, is a cola that originated in North Carolina. The name Pepsi-cola probably came from the contents of pepsin (digestive enzyme) and kola nuts used in the recipe. The Pepsi logo is recognized world-wide and is one of the more unique soft-drink symbols. Pepsi comes in too many varieties to list, if you would like to see them click here.

  1. I really like Mountain Dew, which is a Pepsi product, but since we're talking colas here, I'd have to go with Coke.

  2. I'd drink either, but given the choice I'd pick coke (diet).

  3. While I do not have much of a preference when it comes to the Cherry Cola varieties, if we are talking strictly about the Cola then I have to give the strong nod to Coke.
