Today's Inequality:

Grooveshark is an internet music search engine, music streaming device, and radio. Grooveshark allows users to upload their music and share it for free. Users can also create playlists and share them with others online. There are no advertisements to interrupt play time.

Pandora is an internet radio station that uses the Music Genome Project to play songs based on the listener's preferences. There is a free subscription service that is supported by advertisements allowing 40 hours per month of streaming music and a few skips per hour. A $36 annual fee is needed for unlimited listening, no ads, more skips, and higher quality audio.

  1. Grooveshark can do anything. Pandora can only do some things. Also, they don't creepily link to your FB page and tell everyone what music you like.

  2. I think Grooveshark is B.A. However, the Music Genome Project for Pandora barely gives the edge. It does a way better job of playing songs you like when you create a station than what Grooveshark does. I know that Grooveshark is geared more towards making playlists and playing whatever song you want instantly - but 90% of the time I'm too lazy to do that.
