Sheriff Woody > or < Buzz Lightyear of Space Command

Yesterday’s Inequality here!

Sheriff Woody is an old-fashioned pull string doll that comes to life and says phrase such as “There’s a snake in my boot!” and “Reach for the sky.” He was originally the sole leader of Andy’s toys, but eventually becomes co-leader, along with Buzz. While Woody can have bouts of jealousy if his position as Andy’s favorite toy is threatened, he always comes around to realize his shortcomings and ends up strengthening his relationships. Woody is most known for his undying loyalty to Andy and the other toys, rescuing the latter on numerous occasions.

Buzz Lightyear of Space Command is a new, cool toy with all the gadgets and buttons a new toy should have. He has a retractable helmet, a belt housing his anti-gravity button, and a control panel on his chest that activates his wings and other accessories. On top of that he glows in the dark. Although Buzz initially thought he was a Space Ranger, he eventually came to realize and accept his role as a toy. His bravery and courage played a large part in saving the toys and leading them through many trying situations.

  1. I don't really care either way on this one but I voted for Buzz because of his street smarts.

  2. Street Smarts?! Buzz was a delusional tard! Woody's a stand up guy and a hero. The kind of person I'd be honored to talk about knives and steak and steak knives with. Dewds Night In, Western Style!

  3. Gotta go with Woody. Yes, he had a bout of jealousy, but don't we all? Buzz had become depressed to the point that he didn't feel life was worth living as a toy. Even being strapped to a rocket didn't seem to elicit any emotion from Buzz. Woody was able to get past his jealousy and both convince Buzz that he still had a purpose as well as save him from his imminent demise.

  4. Buzz has some really swell gadgets.

Woody is smart. Toy Story 3 is the best movie to go all Mario on. OMG.

    Woody wins.

If only Woody was in Buzz's suit. Now THAT would be cool.

  5. "There's a snake in my boot" > "To infinite and beyond"

  6. Buzz was created as a space ranger to defend the galaxy. He may be delusional but I have full confidence that he could survive in the streets unlike his counterpart Woody who would much rather enjoy the luxuries of an owned toy. That being said, I'd agree that Buzz is a delusional tard, but have to argue that he does have the necessary characteristics and training to survive on the streets.

  7. Agreed. He'd pwn Sesame streets.

  8. How is Buzz supposed to survive on the streets when he doesn't even know he's a fuggin' toy? Remember how hard Buzz tried to use his arm laser? Even those squeaky aliens almost kicked his ass. Woody is clearly the hero here. Sure, the scuttlebutt is that Buzz is an awesome space ranger who defends the galaxy, but have we ever seen this in action? Woody is the one who always has a plan, turns enemies to friends, and, ultimately, saves the day.
